Plot for Half-Life 3 (Work In Progress)

THIS IS IT FOLKS

It's the post you've been waiting for, the one this blog is all about. Our theory on the Storyline of Half Life 3. The Greatest Game Never to be Made (Keep in mind, that this is a work-in-progress theory, using cannon released from Valve websites and such, and I do not have a full guess at what the whole game is going to be)

Opening Scene

Now, my friend had the idea of you waking up in the helicopter, with Alyx in the passenger seat in winter gear, sniffing her dad's jacket (stages of grief). She talks a little bit, but then you are subsequently shot out of the sky and you're out colder than before. This seems a more plausible beginning, and it will be the official theory on the opening scene. I think you will have freedom of movement, as with all previous Half-Life games, but the interaction availability with the characters in the cockpit and the helicopter itself will be slightly limited. It won't be where the credits are going to take place, as the lack of things to do in a helicopter would bore the audience.

On Ice

You awaken from your crash, close to the wreckage of the helicopter. Pilot is dead, and Alyx is nowhere to be found. This is most likely where the credits will take place, and you can interact limitedly with the surroundings. Soon after, you follow a footprint path through the snow, and find Alyx huddled on the ground, injured. She is happy to see you, but is a lot more quiet than normal. Your first task is to find a healthkit and administer it to Alyx. While looking for a healthkit, you will find a crowbar amongst the wreckage of the helicopter. The two of you start to head out, and see an outpost not far from where you are. You head in, and find a lot of combine soldiers, talking about the "kraken" and seeming very eager to find whatever kraken may be (yes we think this is the Kraken Base from the unused parts of Half Life 2). However, you and Alyx are not looking for a fight, and may head into either an above ground base, or someway to enter the waters. (This is all we have so far)
